AUGUSTA, Maine — A local woman was arrested on Monday morning in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of a minor, police said.
Lori Ingalls, 36, is facing three counts of sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 15, Augusta Deputy Chief Jared Mills said.
A search warrant was executed at Ingalls’ residence on Monday, Mills said.
“It is believed that further perpetration of the [abuse] would have continued if it weren’t for the coordinated effort by the officials involved in this investigation,” Mills said.
Ingalls is being held without bail at the Kennebec County Jail.
