PORTLAND, Maine — A Sebago man pled guilty Tuesday to a charge of possessing child pornography, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.

William Duffy, 58, will be sentenced at a later date. He could spend up to 20 years in prison and pay a fine of up to $250,000.

Duffy was arrested in 2015 after Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant at his residence.

Analysis of his laptop revealed images and video files of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Many of the minors were under age 12.

In addition to jail time, Duffy also faces supervised release of between five years to life.

The FBI, State Police Computer Crimes Unit and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office handled the investigation.
