WINSLOW — The Winslow Black Raiders improved to 5-1 in Maine Principals’ Association Unified Basketball play on Thursday with a 62-38 victory over Hall-Dale of Farmingdale.

Contributing to Winslow’s balanced attack were Jacob Varney with 14 points and Taylor Libby with 12. Joey Kingsbury and Cheyenne Raymond each added 10 points.

Other Winslow scorers: Noah Gagne 6, Dakota Land 6, Roy Greenleaf 2, Jessica Levesque 2.

For Hall-Dale, Eric Lombard led the way with 14 points, followed by Matthew Perry’s eight points.

Other Hall-Dale scorers: Matthew Lorbeski 6, Oscar Hadjaissa 4, Angelica Lamoreau 2, Emma Chase 2, Jazmine Taylor 2.

The state’s 32 Unified programs are gearing up for the postseason, which is scheduled to begin with preliminary games on March 4, followed by quarterfinal action on March 8. The state championship contest will be played March 17 at Lisbon High School.
