ROCKMART, GA – Pamela E. (King) Davis, 61, passed away February 16, 2016, peacefully at home. She was born June 5th, 1954 in Bar Harbor, Maine, the daughter of Leonard E. King and Marjorie V. (Conary) King.
Pamela was a graduate of Ellsworth High School in Maine, class of 1972. Recently retired, she formerly worked for Dupont-Merck in customer service for nearly 20 years and Allstate Pools for 14 years. In her early years she worked at Bernard’s Nursing Home in Maine and sang with a band for a number of years. Pamela was passionate about animals and their welfare, helping local shelters. She was fond of cooking for others and often fed or helped the needy in her neighborhood. Her love of gardening and green thumb was evident everywhere she lived from landscaping to vegetable gardening.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Brandy Davis; her three grandchildren, Tori, Tristan and Reece; her mother, Marjorie (Conary) King; her brothers, Brian King of CA, Neil King of ME, and Larry King of ME; as well as her sisters, Barbara Buchanan and husband Carlton of NC, Janet Butler of ME, Linda Jordan of ME, Susan Pease and husband David of MA, Naomi Turcotte and husband Tony of FL, and Rebecca Cozzens and husband Thomas of NJ; many nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Leonard; brother, Richard; brother, Robert; nephew, Brian Ashmore; and niece, Stephanie King.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made in her honor to animal shelters to benefit the “fur babies” she so dearly loved or to a charity benefiting the needy, she so often helped.
