UMaine can tie a school record with its 24th regular-season win. UMaine will recognize its eight seniors prior to the game. The Bearcats could finish as high as third or as low as sixth for next week’s AE tournament at Binghamton. UMaine will be first or second. UMaine has allowed only 47.9 ppg in league games while Binghamton is stingy against 3-pointers (24 percent) but is AE’s least effective rebounding team.

Game notes: Maine hopes to generate some confidence heading into the postseason by snapping a seven-game losing streak. The Black Bears, coming off Wednesday’s 82-74 loss to Hartford, could still secure the No. 5 seed with a win and a Hartford loss. Binghamton lost to UMBC 80-79 in OT on Wednesday. The Bearcats are averaging only 61.7 ppg in AE games, but rank third while giving up 67.9 ppg. UMaine looks to avoid the late-game breakdowns that have plagued them of late. The playoffs begin next Wednesday on the home courts of the higher-seeded teams.
