ISLAND FALLS, Maine — A Presque Isle man was shaken up Saturday morning but did not suffer life-threatening injuries when his pickup truck went off Interstate 95 and rolled several times, according to Maine State Police.

Stephen Kimball, 22, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet north in the highway when he fell asleep at the wheel shortly before 8 a.m., according to prepared statement released by Maine State Police.

The truck “left the roadway, went into the median, rolled over several times and came to a stop after striking a tree,” Cpl. Chuck Michaud wrote in the release.
Kimball was wearing a seat belt and, following the accident, was taken by Island Falls Ambulance to Houlton Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the statement.

“The vehicle was considered a total loss,” Michaud wrote.
