ANSON, Maine — Two men and a teenage girl are facing multiple charges, including arson, in connection with a fire that leveled a Pease Hill Road home last week, according to the Department of Public Safety.
Deyon Kitchin, 19, Dylan Brown, 23, and a 17-year-old girl from Madison are all charged with arson, burglary, aggravated criminal mischief and theft, according to spokesman Stephen McCausland.
The teenager’s name was not disclosed because she is a juvenile. The destroyed home was a summer residence belonging to a man from Texas.
McCausland said the Feb. 24 fire was to cover up a burglary at the residence in which a number of items were stolen. He added many of the items have been recovered.
On Saturday, the residence of a friend of the two men, Linda Greene of Madison, was searched and a number of items, including an oxygen tank, firecrackers, antique dishes and a backpack, were recovered. Greene was not arrested but was summoned by Somerset County sheriff’s deputies for possession of marijuana.
The juvenile was released to her parents and Kitchin and Brown were taken to Somerset County Jail.
