BOWDOIN, Maine — An elderly Bowdoin man missing from his home on John Tarr Road for several hours was found unharmed about a half-mile away late Wednesday afternoon.
Guy Kittle, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, was spotted from a Maine Warden Service plane at about 4:45 p.m., according to Eric Sawyer, director of Sagadahoc County Emergency Management.
Crews including deputies and a police dog from the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office, as well as members of several area fire departments, initially conducted a search around Kittle’s home and nearby roads.
Sawyer said Wednesday that Kittle was uninjured but would be evaluated by EMTs at his home.
Kittle was the subject of a previous all-night search in September 2014. He was found just after 7 a.m. the following morning at a private work site between Adams Road and Lewis Hill Road, officials said at the time.
