BANGOR, Maine — A single-vehicle crash on Ohio Street late Wednesday night led to a drunken-driving charge for a Bangor woman, according to police.
Daria Priymak, 19, claimed she swerved to avoid a pothole, but police located no potholes in the area of the crash, Sgt. Tim Cotton said in an email.
Priymak’s vehicle struck a pole and was overturned on its side when police arrived. Cotton said the crash occurred shortly after 10 p.m.
Both Priymak and her passenger, Joseph Delo, 30, of Bangor, declined medical treatment at the scene.
Cotton said a field sobriety test conducted on Priymak confirmed she was under the influence, and she was arrested and charged with OUI and operating without a license.
