SAN DIEGO — Bumble Bee Foods announced Thursday that it is recalling three specific canned Chunk Light tuna because of process deviation, according to a statement.
The statement read there have been 31,579 cases across the country included in the recall. The recalled tuna was distributed in February.
Customers are advised to throw away the recalled products.
The recall was initiated out of an abundance of caution because of the possible under-processing of the affected products. Bumble Bee is working closely with the co-packer and the FDA to expedite the removal of products from commerce.
