DOVER, New Hampshire — Maurice Pelissier has been located in Dover, New Hampshire, and has been taken into protective custody.
New Hampshire state troopers were sent to an office in Dover after a citizen recognized Pelissier.
Police said Pelissier was attempting to obtain a New Hampshire ID card and became disorderly with staff.
Pelissier escaped from a psychiatric treatment facility Wednesday morning, where he was committed against his will.
Police initially were concerned he could possibly turn dangerous if someone tried to apprehend him.
Troopers will be taking him to a local hospital for evaluation.
