GRAY, Maine — Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the armed robbery of a Rite Aid that occurred Thursday, according to a statement from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.

The robbery occurred shortly after 3 p.m. when a lone man entered the store and confronted a pharmacy employee, the statement said.

The man allegedly produced a note demanding narcotics and mentioned he had a gun, although one was not displayed.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of drugs, according to the statement.

The suspect is a white man who is between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall, has blonde hair and a thin build. He was reportedly wearing a tan Carhartt jacket and pants, a green hooded sweatshirt and a black mask.
