The fourth-seeded Syracuse Orange knocked off the top-seeded South Carolina Gamecocks 80-72 in an NCAA Sioux Falls Regional semifinal on Friday night.
Alexis Peterson scored 26 points, Briana Butler had 18 and Brittney Sykes added 17 for Syracuse (28-7). Briana Day grabbed 13 rebounds to go with her seven points.
The Orange advance to the Elite Eight to take on Tennessee. That game will be Sunday.
Alaina Coates led the Gamecocks with 18 points and 16 rebounds.
Tennessee 78, Ohio State 62
The seventh-seeded Lady Volunteers advanced past the No. 3 Buckeyes in the other Sioux Falls Regional semifinal.
Mercedes Russell led Tennessee with 25 points and 15 rebounds. Bashaara Graves added 14 points and nine rebounds.
Ameryst Alston paced Ohio State with 22 points and Kelsey Mitchell was right behind with 21.
Stanford 90, Notre Dame 84
The fourth-seeded Cardinal upset the top-seeded Fighting Irish in a Lexington Regional semifinal.
Erica McCall led Stanford with 27 points and Karlie Samuelson added 20.
Stanford advanced to face seventh-seeded Washington on Sunday in the regional final.
Lindsay Allen led Notre Dame with 20 points and Brianna Turner chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Washington 85, Kentucky 72
The seventh-seeded Huskies upset the second-seeded Wildcats in the other Lexington Regional semifinal.
Talia Walton led Washington with 30 points, Kelsey Plum added 23 points and Chantel Osahor had 19 points and 17 rebounds.
Washington (25-10) reached its first regional final since 2001. The Huskies (25-10) will seek their first Final Four appearance in school history on Sunday when they face No. 1 seed Notre Dame or No. 4 seed Stanford in the regional final.
Makayla Epps scored 30 points for Kentucky (25-8) and Evelyn Akhataor had 10 points and 14 rebounds.
