PERU, Maine — Police said a male pit bull or American bulldog was killed and dumped over an embankment off Route 108 in Peru, and they are looking for information about the incident.
The dog was about 2-years-old and weighed about 55 pounds, according to Maine Lost Dog Recovery.
The dog is primarily black with white toes and feet. The dog has distinctive white markings around its head and neck.
