PORTLAND, Maine — A Sabattus man was sentenced on Friday in federal court to more than 11 years in prison after pleading guilty to receiving child pornography.
Jody G. Moczara, 35, was sentenced to 135 months in prison, to be followed by 10 years of supervised release, according to a release from U.S. Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II.
Judge George Z. Singal sentenced Moczara, who pleaded guilty on Oct. 14, 2015, to using the Internet and a file-sharing program to download child pornography videos and still images to his computer.
The investigation was conducted by the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
