ROCKLAND, Maine — City police officers were at the South School on Friday morning to investigate a burglary in which student medication was stolen.

The burglary was reported when the staff arrived Friday morning. Sgt. Donald Finnegan said multiple interior doors were forced open to reach the room where student medication was stored.

The type of medications stolen was not immediately known. Officers were still on scene at 9 a.m.

The South School serves students in grades kindergarten through fourth grades. The school is connected to the Rockland District Middle School.
