WATERVILLE, Maine — Five residents of an assisted living facility on Pleasant Street were relocated after a small fire broke out Sunday in one of the bedrooms, a Waterville Fire Department official said.

The fire at 73 Pleasant St. began shortly after 8 a.m. and was extinguished by the sprinkler system, Capt. John Gromek said in a news release.

The five people who were living in the home, owned by Motivational Services LLC, have been moved to another of the company’s facilities.

No injuries were reported in connection with the fire.

The fire is under investigation by the Waterville police and fire departments as well as the state fire marshal’s office.
