THOMASTON, Maine — A local man remains in jail Monday after police said he put a knife to the throat of a woman during a domestic dispute.
Jason Grigor, 32, was charged with domestic violence assault, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and refusing to submit to arrest, according to paperwork filed in Knox County Unified Court.
Grigor was taken to the Knox County Jail in Rockland early Monday morning following his arrest. Thomaston Police Chief Kevin Haj said Grigor was first being taken to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport after he suffered a seizure. After being checked by medical staff, Grigor was taken to the jail.
Bail was set at $10,000 cash.
According to the chief, police were called by neighbors who reported a loud argument. When officers arrived, the victim told police that Grigor had put a knife to her throat. The knife was recovered, Haj said.
The woman was not physically injured, the chief said.
