BANGOR, Maine — The investigation into an all-terrain vehicle accident last month in Glenburn in which a Kenduskeag man suffered serious injuries has been closed, Chief Deputy William Sheehan of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Ricky Rossignol, 51, died from his injuries on March 24, according to an obituary published on Monday.

Rossignol was traveling south on Route 15 on March 13 when he lost control upon pulling into the parking lot of Village Variety, according to Sheehan.

Neither Rossignol nor the young girl who was riding on the ATV with him were wearing helmets, and both were thrown from the vehicle, Sheehan said.

The girl was treated at the crash, and Rossignol was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center.

At the time of the crash, investigators said that speed and alcohol were likely factors.
