LIVERMORE FALLS, Maine — Livermore Falls police busted a woman after they spotted a fake Maine inspection sticker attached to her car.
Police say making your own inspection sticker is a Class E crime.
The Livermore Falls Police Department posted the photos on their Facebook page and wrote that the sticker was removed from a vehicle during a traffic stop on Campground Road. Police say the driver was cited for attaching false plates and operating after suspension.
The post is causing quite a stir. The post, which has over 1,300 shares, is drawing a wide range of reactions.
It appears the fake inspection sticker was made with a notice from the Auburn Police Department that appears to be a reminder to pay a fine.
“We gave her a B+ for her artistic abilities, an A for effort, a slight chuckle for the material used to make the fake sticker with, and three criminal summons,” Livermore Falls police wrote in their Facebook post.
