BRUNSWICK, Maine — Police on Thursday identified a 34-year-old West Bath man who fell to his death from an overpass Wednesday.
Tristan Friedman stood on the roof of his vehicle on the northbound ramp to the Merrymeeting Bridge and jumped onto the southbound lane of Route 1, Cmdr. Marc Hagan said Thursday morning.
Friedman was pronounced dead at the scene by rescue personnel.
Traffic was diverted onto the Merrymeeting Bridge and through Topsham for several hours.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
