HAMPDEN, Maine — Crews from Hampden, Hermon, Newburg and the Maine Forest Service were called to 67 North County Road shortly before 3:30 p.m. Sunday to extinguish a wildfire, a Penobscot County Regional Communications Center dispatcher has confirmed.
Carmel firefighters were put on standby but were released within less than an hour.
