BANGOR, Maine — A two-vehicle collision involving a Pontiac Vibe and a pickup truck snarled traffic on Route 2 on Thursday morning.

While neither driver required a trip to the hospital, the crash tied up the morning commute on the busy highway, known locally as Outer Hammond Street.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Outer Hammond and Hildreth streets shortly after 10 a.m.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene and traffic began to flow again around 10:40.
