PLYMOUTH, Maine — A 70-year-old Dedham man died Thursday morning when he lost control of the van he was driving and it struck a ledge along Interstate 95, according to Maine State Police.
Joseph Deschaine, who was driving a white 2013 Dodge van, died instantly.
Deschaine was exiting I-95 at exit 161 in the southbound lane, when he lost control on the curve and struck the ledge, Stephen McCausland, spokesman for state police, said in a news release.
State police were assisted at the scene by the Plymouth Fire Department and the Maine Department of Transportation, McCausland said.
