BANGOR — Amanda Deshaies netted five goals and added an assist on Monday afternoon to spark Husson University to a 13-3 North Atlantic Conference women’s lacrosse victory over Maine Maritime Academy at Boucher Field.
Samara Oliver scored twice for Husson (6-6, 5-3 NAC), while Alissa Fallon provided a goal and seven assists. Theresa Butler, Mattie Russell, Brooke Quirion and Mariah Carrier added a goal apiece and Kaitlin Dolloff made seven saves.
Briana Obshatkin scored two goals and Rachael Redles posted one for Maine Maritime Academy of Castine (0-15, 0-8 NAC). Christina Wilson came up with 12 saves.
UMF 7, Thomas 3
At Farmington, Rhi Jackson scored three goals and Carly Raymond added two goals and three assists to help UMaine-Farmington improve to 5-7 overall and 3-5 in the North Atlantic Conference.
UMF secured the sixth seed in the upcoming league tourney this weekend when it will visit No. 3 New England College in a Saturday quarterfinal in Henniker, N.H.
Alyssa Arsenault and Danielle Conway each made two saves for UMF.
Sophia LaVallee paced Thomas (2-9, 2-6) with two goals and Brittany Fox finished with seven saves.

Thomas 9, UMF 5
At Farmington, Jacob Kendall scored three goals to propel Thomas by UMaine-Farmington in North Atlantic Conference action.
Bryan Ferris chipped in with two goals and two assists for Thomas of Waterville (2-8, 2-6 NAC) while Parker Chute added two goals and an assist. Connor Lamberton made 15 saves.
Travis St. Pierre sparked UMF (0-11, 0-8) with three goals and an assist while Caleb Carr made 14 saves.
Softball
Bates sweeps UMF
At Lewiston, the Bobcats erupted for nine runs in the sixth inning of the second game en route to a 12-8 victory and a sweep of their doubleheader against the Beavers.
Bates won the opener 7-1.
In Game 2, the hosts trailed 8-3 but turned the tide in the sixth, which included RBI doubles from Maddie Inlow and Abby Abbott and Jenney Abbott’s three-run homer. Jenney Abbott added a single.
Inlow and Abby Abbott also hit run-scoring singles for Bates (5-28), while Marina Barsoum collected four singles behind relief winner Mimi Crowley.
Kylie Cunningham paced the University of Maine-Farmington (6-19) with a double, two singles and two RBIs. Ashley Gleason rapped a double and two singles with an RBI and Tasha DeRoche singled twice (RBI) to support losing pitcher Abby Burdin.
In the opener, the Bobcats used a four-run sixth to break the game open. Karen Lockhart drove in four runs with a two-run triple and a single and Inlow had an RBI double and a sacrifice fly. Kylie Martin scattered five hits to notch the win.
Gleason’s run-scoring single led the Beavers to back losing pitcher Kailyn Hill.
