WASHINGTON — Pilgrim’s Pride Corp., a company based in Waco, Texas, is recalling approximately 4,568,080 pounds of fully cooked chicken products that could be contaminated with extraneous materials, according to a statement from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The recalled products made between August 2014 and March 2016 may be contaminated with plastic, wood, rubber and metal.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions because of consumption, according to the USDA. Those concerned about illness should contact a health care official.

Those who have purchased the recalled products are advised not to consume them. The products should be thrown away or returned to where they were purchased.
