PORTER, Maine — A woman was killed Wednesday afternoon in a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer on Route 25, state police said.

The collision occurred around 12:30 p.m. about a half-mile from the Kezar Falls Bridge, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said.

The cab of the truck burst into flames, McCausland said. The truck’s driver was not injured. The truck was carrying wood chips.

McCausland said the names of the drivers will likely be released later Wednesday. The road will remain closed for another couple hours.
