BIDDEFORD, Maine — A large dead whale has washed up on a beach in Biddeford.
Experts are trying to find out what caused its death.
It’s an adult female minke whale.
Someone passing by discovered it on Horseshoe Cove Tuesday.
It weighs about 14,000 pounds and is 28 feet long.
Marine biologists did a necropsy on the whale Thursday. They say the whale is in good shape and has not been dead for long.
