DAMARISCOTTA, Maine — A woman died Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Lincoln County, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

Alison Brewer, 51, of Nobelboro was traveling north on Route 1 when she appeared to lose control of her vehicle and hit an embankment, the statement said.

The impact caused the vehicle to roll over onto its roof. Brewer, the lone occupant of the vehicle, was declared dead at the scene.

Brewer was wearing her seat belt, and speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors, the statement said.

Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the crash.
