WALDOBORO, Maine — A substitute teacher at Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro is behind bars after police arrested him for allegedly exchanging sexually explicit photos online with a student.
William Bourget, 52, of Edgecomb was arrested at his home Friday night by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and possession of sexually explicit material.
The sheriff’s office and Waldoboro police investigated Bourget after a friend of a student reported to school officials about an exchange of sexually explicit images. Police said the student involved is a minor.
Bourget is being held on $5,000 bail at the Two Bridges Regional Jail.
