BRUNSWICK, Maine — Local police are searching for a missing Brunswick man who suffers from dementia.

Fred Vose, 78, left his home in Brunswick early Saturday morning in a 2006 red Toyota Tacoma, Brunswick police Lt. Todd Ridlon said in a news release. He has not been heard from or seen since.

Vose, who grew up in Belfast, has been known to take trips back to his hometown and enjoys the ride along Route 1, Ridlon said. Vose also has been known to visit his family’s camp in Litchfield. One of his favorite hangouts was Tony’s Donut Shop on Bolton Street in Portland.

Anyone with information about Vose’s whereabouts should contact the Brunswick Police Department dispatch center at 725-5521.
