SCARBOROUGH, Maine — Scarborough police are looking for information after a tombstone or property marker was found in the closet of a hotel room after the renter had vacated.
Police said the stone is engraved with “E.B.” It has no other identifiable marks. The stone measures approximately 24 inches high by 10 inches wide.
Police said they checked with local historians and cemeteries but have yet to discover where the stone was taken from.
