CAMDEN, Maine — The three candidates running for two open seats to represent Camden on the regional school board will state their positions at a candidates forum on Monday, May 23.
The forum, which starts at 7 p.m. at the Washington Street Conference Room, also will be broadcast live on Time Warner Channel 22 in Camden and livestreamed everywhere on Town Hall streams.
The candidates are Rebecca Flanagan, M. Eileen Morelli and Peter Orne. John Lewis and Victoria Manzi, whose terms expire in June, did not take out papers.
The panel will consist of Kim Lincoln, editor of the Camden Herald, and Stephen Betts, midcoast area reporter for the Bangor Daily News. The moderator will be Don White.
After brief opening remarks, each candidate will be asked questions by the panelists. A portion of the forum also will be open to questions from the audience in attendance. The forum will finish with closing statements from the candidates.
The school board elections will be held at the Public Safety Building on Washington Street between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14.
