BANGOR, Maine — A man was arrested on Wednesday after a meth lab was discovered in an apartment in the city’s Capehart neighborhood, according to authorities.

Jeffrey Miller, 49, is facing two charges of meth manufacturing, according to Department of Public Safety Spokesman Stephen McCausland.

Miller’s arrest coupled with the arrest of Jared Lovett, 29, of Lincoln on Thursday brings the total of meth responses statewide to 73 for the year, compared to 56 for 2015.

Miller was taken into custody Wednesday by Bangor police and charged in connection with a meth lab found in April on Hammond Street, and a search of his Deer Isle Road apartment unveiled a second meth lab, McCausland said.

Miller is being held at the Penobscot County Jail.
