PORTLAND, Maine — A man injured in a stabbing outside a Denny’s restaurant last month has died, officials said.

Anthony Best, 31, of Veazie died at Maine Medical Center on Friday morning, according to a statement from Portland police.

Best had been hospitalized since being stabbed in the parking lot of Denny’s on Brighton Avenue on April 28.

The incident started as an altercation at PT’s Showclub on Riverside Street, and the groups separated by staff met again in the Denny’s parking lot.

Nobody has been charged in the incident, which remains under investigation.
