ROCKLAND, Maine — The two candidates for a single vacant seat on the Rockland City Council will meet Thursday, June 9, for a forum at which members of the public can pose questions.
Candidates Adam Ackor and Michael Herbert have agreed to participate in the event scheduled for 7 p.m. at City Hall on Pleasant Street. Bangor Daily News writer Stephen Betts will moderate the event.
The forum also is expected to be broadcast on the local government access channel.
Ackor and Herbert are on the June 14 ballot for the seat vacated in early March by William Jillson, who resigned, citing the inability to work with other councilors or the city manager. Absentee ballots are available at City Hall.
