BANGOR, Maine — Three members of an Enfield family were indicted Wednesday by the Penobscot County grand jury on drug charges.
Scott A. Lord Sr., 51, and his wife, Ann M. Lord, 47, were arrested in March and accused of trafficking in oxycodone.
Their so, Scott A. Lord Jr., 28, of Enfield was indicted on one count of unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs.
His father was indicted on three counts of the same charge and one criminal forfeiture count. Ann M. Lord was indicted on two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, and one count each of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, violation of condition of release and criminal forfeiture.
Their arraignment dates have not been set.
The Lords came to the attention of law enforcement last year when a confidential informant allegedly purchased oxycodone from Scott Lord Sr. while wearing a wire that recorded the transactions, according to a previously published report.
During a search of the Lords’ home, 80 30-milligram oxycodone pills, more than $9,000 in suspected drug proceeds and other evidence of drug dealing were seized, according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency. The estimated street value of the pills was $3,600.
Also confiscated were eight state of Maine electronic benefit transfer cards, none of which belonged to anyone living at the residence, the previous report said.
If convicted, each of the Lords faces up to 10 years in prison and fines of up to $20,000 apiece.
In an unrelated case, Anthony J. Hardy, 23, of Glenburn was indicted on six counts of burglary, eight counts of theft by unauthorized taking and one count of failure to appear.
The burglaries were reported in January and February, Penobscot County District Attorney R. Christopher Almy said Wednesday after his office released the indictment list.
Hardy was arrested Jan. 30 and charged with stealing guns from two homes he allegedly burglarized in Carmel three days earlier. He was released on bail from the Penobscot County Jail the same day he was arrested on cash bail. Information on the amount of bail posted was not available Wednesday.
Almy said that the other burglary and theft counts are connected to February burglaries at four different convenience stores in Bangor and Hampden. A warrant was issued May 16 for Hardy after he failed to appear at the Penobscot Judicial Center on charges related to the January burglaries and thefts, the prosecutor said.
Hardy’s whereabouts are unknown, Almy said.
