GLENBURN, Maine — Five residents have stepped forward as candidates for the five Town Council and school board positions that voters will fill on Election Day.
The expiring council seats held by Dennis Casey and Mark Lagasse, neither of whom are seeking re-election, are to be filled June 14, Town Clerk Gail Decker said Thursday. Michael Cote and Adam Shaw are seeking the three-year posts.
For the school board, incumbents Susan O’Roak and Rose Thompson are unopposed for re-election to their respective seats, also for three years.
Angela Gibney is running unopposed for the remaining year of former school board member Karen Marsters’ unexpired term.
The polls at the Glenburn Municipal Building will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14. The annual town meeting will take place 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at the Glenburn School gym.
