KENDUSKEAG, Maine — A garage at a farm on the Stetson Road was destroyed by fire Tuesday afternoon, a fire official said.

Crews from multiple towns were called to the scene around 1 p.m., according to Kenduskeag Fire Capt. Dakota Bartlett.

Firefighters arrived to find the garage, which did not have any animals inside, engulfed in flames, but the fire was extinguished quickly, Bartlett said.

The blaze never spread to the house, and one bucket loader was inside the garage, Bartlett said.

The garage, which was insured, was deemed a total loss, and the state fire marshal’s office is investigating a cause, Bartlett said. Foul play is not believed to be involved.

No injuries were reported in the fire, which drew a response from Kenduskeag, Corinth, Levant, Hermon, Stetson, Hudson, Glenburn and Bradford crews.
