CARTHAGE, Maine — Franklin County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the alleged burglary of Bradbury’s Market, according to Sheriff Scott Nichols.
The alleged burglary occurred on Wednesday, and police have identified the suspect as Matthew Haines, 23, of New Hampshire, according to Nichols.
Haines had walked away from a Granite State prerelease center on Monday and has three active warrants for his arrest, Nichols said.
He was last seen wearing a green sweatshirt and red shorts and could be hiding in the woods in the Carthage area.
Deputies continue to search for Haines.
