HERMON, Maine — Wayne Parritt Jr. of Steuben started the 40-lap Dysart’s Late Model feature on the outside pole, fell back to third in the early laps then surged to the front, passing pole sitter Scott Modery of Hermon on lap 10, and cruised to his first win of the season Saturday night at Speedway 95.
On lap 15 of the caution-free event, Winterport’s Joey Doyon moved past Modery and claimed the second spot, which he kept to the end. Dana Wilbur of Prospect finished in third, continuing his streak of three top-three finishes out of the three features run this season.
John Curtis Jr., winner of the two previous Late Model features this season, could only make it to fourth at the checkers from his sixth-place start, with Wayne Parritt Sr. of Steuben rounding out the top five.
