PORTLAND, Maine — Authorities continue to investigate the disappearance of a 23-year-old Scarborough man, according to a statement from Portland police.
Matthew Foster, who was last seen Friday night in the Old Port, was reported missing on Monday, according to the statement.
Video surveillance showed Foster at Oasis on Wharf Street just before midnight. He was expected to meet friends later in the evening but never met up with them.
Foster’s friends and family are concerned about Foster’s well-being. He is a diabetic, and he did not have his cellphone or car with him that night. He requires daily medication and only took one dose before leaving home Friday.
Foster has not been in contact with anyone since Friday, police added, which is unusual for him.
Foster stands 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue long-sleeved collared shirt, khaki pants and white sneakers.
Police continue to review video footage from the Old Port area. Anyone who may have seen Foster is urged to call Portland police at 874-8575.
