A Camden woman is accused of stealing a dog from a humane society in Vermont.
Police said they received a report Thursday afternoon from the Rutland County Humane Society that someone took “Fred,” a 1-year-old terrier mix.
Deputies said an investigation led them to Mt. Tabor Federal Forest, where there was a gathering of the “Rainbow Family of Living Light.”
That’s where they said they found the dog, and the woman police say took it. Police charged Melanie Vangel, 20, with petty larceny.
