DANFORTH, Maine — A loaded logging truck took out a utility pole Friday, which knocked out power to residents of this small town in northern Washington County.
A dispatcher with the Maine State Police barracks in Ellsworth said early Friday afternoon that troopers still were on scene investigating the crash, which happened shortly after noon.
Barry Gillis, who lives in Danforth, captured video of the scene shortly after the crash, which he said occurred “right on the corner of Route 169 and Route 1.”
The name of the driver and the status of his condition were not immediately available.
