BANGOR – Lois G. Rambo, 93, died June 16, 2016, at Bangor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 21, 1923, in Ebensburg, PA., the third oldest of seven children of M. Blair and Ethel (Braughler) Adams.
She married the love of her life, Earl Rambo, May 21, 1942. In 1977, Lois and Earl moved from PA and purchased what became Rambo’s Store in Hampden. They owned and operated that until they retired in early 1985.
She is survived by two sons William Rambo and wife Elizabeth of Otis, and Richard Rambo of Gardiner; four grandchildren Matthew Rambo and wife Christine of Hammonton, NJ, Jennifer Persaud-Rambo and husband Zaf of Brewer, Kimberly Austin and husband Andre of Portland, and Alex Rambo of Gardiner; and two great-granddaughters Deirdre and Sadie. She also leaves many beloved nephews and nieces, many dear neighbors, and many friends at her church, the First Church of Christ Scientist, Bangor. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl (2006); her daughter-in-law, Jean Rambo (2011); and her six brothers and sisters.
At Lois’ request there is no viewing or funeral service. A memorial service will be held in Broomall, PA later this summer when her ashes are interred in the family cemetery plot.
