ST. AGATHA AND BANGOR – Lucas Arthur Day, 3 days old, was granted his angel wings on January 3, 2016, following complications from twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. He was born on December 31, 2015 at Eastern Maine Medical Center.
He spent his three days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit alongside his twin brother and surrounded by family supporting his fight and struggle to survive. His last breaths were taken while in the arms of his parents and beside his twin brother.
Lucas is the son of Lee and Nika (Landry) Day and older twin brother to Levi Day of St. Agatha. His paternal great-grandparents are Darrell and Ruth Townsend of Hudson; maternal great-grandmother, Irma Landry of St. Agatha; paternal grandparents Terrance and Debbie (or Debra) Day of Corinth; maternal grandmother, Michele Landry of St. Jacques, New Brunswick, Canada; maternal grandparents Louis Landry and Joyce Ouellette of Madawaska; aunt, Sarah Landry of St. Agatha; and has many loving great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.
Lucas was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents Everett and Thelma Day of Corinth; and maternal great-grandfather Arthur (Babe) Landry of St. Agatha.
A graveside service will be held at the St. Agatha Lower Cemetery on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 am by Pastor Franklin Randall Jr. from Patten Pentecostal Church in Patten, Maine.
In lieu of flowers, we ask a donation be made in Lucas’ memory to Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as they supported us in our time of need.
