LEBANON, Maine — A fire raged through nearly 4 acres in Lebanon on Friday. Fire departments from eight towns responded to get the blaze under control.
The fire off of Prospect Hill Road burned nearly 4 acres of very difficult terrain to traverse. Crews battled their way down steep slopes covered in slash-cut wood.
Suspicious items were found at the scene. Officials from Maine and New Hampshire state forestry also responded. The fire is under active investigation.
Crews from Lebanon, Milton, Rochester, Alfred, Berwick, Farmington, Wakefield and North Berwick worked on containing the fire. South Berwick and Acton covered the Lebanon Station. Frisbie EMS aided with firefighter rehab.
