HERMON, Maine — Wayne Parritt Jr. of Steuben made it two in a row at Speedway 95 on Saturday night when he took the lead from Hermon’s John Curtis Jr. in the closing laps of the Dysart’s Late Model 40 lap feature.
Curtis passed early leader Dana Wilbur of Frankfort following a lap 11 caution and led until Parritt passed him on the 26th circuit. No sooner had Parritt taken the lead than the yellow flag came out again.
Curtis regained the lead on the restart but Parritt raced him hard and after battling side by side with Curtis for several laps took the lead for good with only three laps to go.
Curtis finished second with Skowhegan’s Kris Matchett third. Fourth went to Todd Lawrence of Levant, with Wilbur finishing fifth.

Andy Saunders of Ellsworth emerged victorious in the 40-lap prostocks feature at Wiscasset Speedway on Saturday. Charlie Colby of Newcastle was second, with Phil Richardson Jr. of Hermon, Wyatt Alexander of Ellsworth and Mike Orr of Wiscasset rounding out the top five.

Oxford Plains Speedway
Scott Robbins of Dixfield prevailed in a hotly contested, 50-lap Super Late Model main event Saturday night, headlining the Budweiser Championship Series weekly racing card at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Robbins became the eighth different winner in eight Budweiser Championship Series races this season, finishing ahead of late closing runner-up Shawn Martin of Turner, Alan Wilson of Hebron finished third after leading most of the race, while Bangor’s Gary Smith was fourth and Dennis Spencer Jr. of Oxford was fifth.
