CONCORD, New Hampshire — A New Hampshire man is charged with the murder of his stepdaughter nearly five years after her death.
Eleven-year-old Celina Cass was reported missing from her home on July 26, 2011.
Six days later, her body was recovered from the Connecticut River.
Her stepfather, Wendell Noyes, is now facing second-degree murder charges.
He is accused of killing Cass by submerging her body in the river.
Noyes has maintained his innocence for years, saying in 2011 he had nothing to do with the girl’s death.
Noyes also revealed his long history of psychiatric issues.
He was declared unfit to stand trial in a 2003 case, in which he was charged with breaking into an ex-girlfriend’s home and threatening her.
He’ll be arraigned Tuesday in Berlin, New Hampshire.
