LISBON, Maine — About 6,800 homes and businesses in the Lisbon area lost power Monday afternoon after a transmission line was knocked down in Lisbon.
Power was out in Lisbon, Lewiston, Bowdoinham, Sabattus, Topsham, Brunswick, Durham and Freeport, Central Maine Power spokeswoman Gail Rice said just after 4:30 p.m.
Rice had no information about what brought the line down, but said it could be due to windy conditions.
She had no estimate for when power would be restored.
